What to do when you don't go to OnStage?

Hi Everyone,

Over the weekend, Stampin' Up! held their live event but unfortunately, I couldn't go.... So what was I supposed to do?

Well, if you have followed my blog for a while, you'd know I'm a member of ESAD (which stands for Extra Special Australia & NZ Demonstrators and it's a demo support group on facebook), anyway, we held an online event instead and it turned a weekend of fun! We named it #OffStage1117! We had several challenges and lots of chatter all weekend!

These were my entries for the challenges and even my girls took part in a few!! I do apologise now for the quality of some of the photos, I took some at ridiculous hours of the night.

We had a sketch challenge:

A be inspired by a piece of clothing challenge:

A make a Christmas card from start to finish in 15 minutes (I ended up with 2 cards using scraps of dsp):

And my challenge was to make a 3D Christmas item and this was my sample:

Another was to make a card using colours that use your initials - so for me that was Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant and Flirty Flamingo (except I didn't finish this one in time!)

All in all, it was a good weekend and it gave many people something to look forward to and do whilst we couldn't be at OnStage (there's apparently a LOT of new info to share with us!)

Father's Day Cards

Hi Everyone,

On Friday, I had the pleasure of going to school and helping my daughter and her classmates to make a father's day card.

Before the class, Miss 9 and I made some samples so the kids would have some ideas to work from and hopefully inspire them.

Miss 9's design #1

Miss 9's design #2

We did make it easier for 30 kids to be taking part by having their teacher print some sentiments rather than stamp. We figured that would be faster than trying to stamp with that many kids in the short space of time I was able to be there.

Miss 9 was so proud to be sharing her cardmaking skills with her friends, you couldn't wipe the smile from her face which was a lovely sight!! Unfortunately I didn't get photos of the kids' creations, but I think they were a massive success judging by their smiles and how proud they were showing off their creations to each other, their teacher and to me.

And whilst I'm sharing Father's Day cards, Miss 10 made this card independently for her Dad:

And this was my card for my Dad:

This was one of the card designs from last month's class.

Bears on the brain today!

Hi Everyone,

Today on our ESAD group, some crazy lady aka me! set a challenge to make a card using Alaskan animals as our inspiration.... The reason for Alaska? Well that's the destination of the next Stampin' Up! Incentive trip!

Well, here's what I came up with:

Below is the punch art idea is from pinterest, but I'm not sure who the original person was and all the links I tried bounced around to different people. (If you are publishing any of your work online, this is where watermarking your photos is handy so any work can be referenced back to you!)

foxy builder punch art -- look at all you can do! buy at

And then because I was thinking of bears and also wanting to join in a challenge today, I dug out the very old My Favorite Teddy stamp set and made these 2 cards...

The layouts for the card were inspired by page 114 of the 2017-18 Idea Book, it's actually a Christmas card layout! I hope this also meets the criteria for the CASEing the Catalogue challenge #CTC138 as I'm going to enter it there!
